"This is so far one of the best books I have read on diets and emotional eating. It is very well written, and it has a bibliography at the end, which makes it look more professional!
I really liked the way it mentions about sensual eating, that yes, we have to look at food with a sensual eye. This will allow us to eat with more pleasure and therefore it will allow us to lose weight and loon at food differently.
The book also mentions the relationship between food and social class, which is a Fact, and I was always interested in the subject as I always enjoyed reading and researching about social class!
I would like to re read the book once again, as it contains very useful information!"

- This is an awesome book about your relationship with food. This book has something for everyone, it's an ultimate guide to getting the most out of what you eat.
As a pescatarian, my diet is mainly fish & veggies! I would never impose my diet on anyone else because I know that we each need to be aware of our responses to certain foods. In my experience; I've found that when you eat food that drains you of your energy, you should probably avoid those foods. On the other hand, if you eat foods that energizes you, then you should eat more of those foods. I have used this guide for over 15 years with amazing success!
"Oh, Shut Up And Eat," will challenge you to think differently about food, not only what to eat, when to eat it, how to eat it, why to eat it, this book is so in depth.
I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to live healthy, love reading and being entertained. - I've been dieting .for a while. I had a transplant, and awakened being 148 pnds. I haven't been that light since middle school, and I'm 45 now. I'm 5'-11", and was a fit 180 in the miitary. When I became a floor salesman, and didn't go to the gym, my weight got to 217. People thought I had a beer belly, but I never drank. I just got fat because of stagnation.
When I was 148, my doctor told me to eat whatever I wanted to gain. I had fast food, chips, and soda. I got back to 205 in about two moths. I was just stuck in that deadly loop.
I've began to lose weight again, and Sage Reddy confirmed my intentions were correct. This book is very informative in body as well as mind. If you're struggling with losing weight, and depression, read this book. - Written in a conversational tone, this eBook is full of eye-opening food facts and research presented in a highly digestible manner. A lot of folks struggle with gaining excess weight or feeling unhealthy despite supposedly eating all the "right" things. Oh Shut Up And Eat sheds light on little known food facts that make the difference between diet disaster and eating success.
What's more, the author illustrates his points through a case study woven throughout the book, making it easier to grasp his common sense wisdom about food.
The author clearly explains everything from why some people can handle a high-carb diet while others require a different nutritional balance, to how our feelings and emotions come into play in healthful eating.
A worthwhile read that will open your eyes to a healthy new relationship with food! - This is so far one of the best books I have read on diets and emotional eating.
I would like to re read the book once again, as it contains very useful information! - This book written by Sage Reddy is an eye opener for all those who are always looking for quick and easy weight loss tricks and searching information about healthy food items. It says that the secret to staying fit for all those who are eternally thin and happy is that they do not waste time on useless information about food items. Instead, they rely on conventional and timeless wisdom and develop habits to eat good food. It is their eating habits that keep them lean and happy more than anything else.
- So, the purpose of food is to provide us happiness... I liked the conversational tone of the author as well as referring the images through a third person. I learned what a foodie was, which in turn made me view this books as 'the psychology of eating'. If taken seriously it could, positively, change a reader's life.
- This book is so spot on. People in America don't value their food. We eat cheap crap and I'm really glad this book called out the problem. I really enjoyed the writing in this book not only was it informative but it also was funny and very well written. This book really encourages me to take a second look at my eating habits.
- As someone who dropped 60+ pounds about ten years ago I generally avoid diet books. Yet this informative, balanced and entertaining guide to life AND food was hard to put down. I think it is years ahead of the diet I used (and succeeded with) in terms of focusing on causes versus symptoms and its easy to read flow. This is a quite remarkable guide to winning the waistline war.
