- This evidence-based program describes in succinct fashion a mindfulness program for athletes. It would be applicable to many other populations, including students. The program and mindfulness is described so anyone can understand. As a mental skills and performance consultant, I highly recommend this book (as well as the workshop offered by the authors) to anyone searching for new skills or just for some ways to improve their own lives.

Dr. Kaufman and his colleagues provide both rich detail and a comprehensive overview of the growing field of mindfulness in sport - not only from a performance point of view, but also in terms of mindfulness within a school sport setting and within a sport-for-development setting, pointing to the work of organisations such as The True Athlete Project. The well-crafted scripts are a must in the toolkit of any coach looking to help his/her athletes get an edge. Could not recommend highly enough.
