"Goddess of Spring was simply fantastic. I loved her portrayal of Hades (though I did cringe at the comparison to Batman), and the main protagonist is perfect, strong and determined but not without her own vulnerabilities. The plot was completely original, interesting with a hint of fairy tale. I was hesitant because I didn't know if anything could be anywhere near as good as Goddess of the Sea, but she did it. This book definitely rose to that same level of excellence. Congrats to her on two wonderful books. I can't wait to read the rest of this series, and I know that most of you will enjoy these books as well."

Goddess of Spring Goddess Summoning Book 2 P C Cast Books Reviews :
Goddess of Spring Goddess Summoning Book 2 P C Cast Books Reviews
- I am a huge fan of the Hades and Persephone myth, and I was eager to read the romantized versions of it. I started with the "Seeds" trilogy, which were well-done, although lots of proofing mistakes. Having read good reviews of this book, I decided to try it, although I was skeptical of the switching out of Persophone for a mortal woman. If you put all credulity aside, it is not a bad book and I found myself eager to read it.
Pluses I liked the portrayal of Hades, although he did seem a little weak at times for a god and too dependent on her. I liked the descriptions of the Underworld and side-story about the gems that Hades had gathered and designed. It made him seem more interesting and insightful to the reader. I liked the scene with Lina at Tartarus--that was well-written and harrowing. I liked the love scenes--sexy but not too much so. There weren't enough of them as far as I'm concerned.
Minuses The emphasis on Lina being Italian was sometimes annoying and did not contribute to the plot in any way. There was too much emphasis on the relationship between Lina and Euridyce-- I know that was necessary to show the maternal side of Lina, but there was too much Euridyce at the expense of scenes with Hades. Ditto with the animals. I love animals, but the thing with Orion et. al. was almost like a Disney cutesy-poo plot line. I also did not care for the ending and was rather confused about what happened with her death.
Overall, I wish there had been much more Hades in the book and his relationship with Lina. His "pleasuring" himself while watching her was a little icky, but what's a horny guy/god to do? Let's face it--it happens. Some readers have criticized the mature woman aspect of the plot, but I liked it, being a mature woman myself.
I would read the book again and found myself eager to read it and I would recommend it despite its flaws. - I so enjoyed the GODDESS OF SPRING. I've NOT read such a steamingly Erotic romantic relationship between two people in such a long time. I JUST couldn't put the book down until I had finished it. I definitely recommend this book for Mature Adults who ARE lacking romance or just plain sex in their lives. This will definitely get your juices flowing..I know that MY Boyfriend's surely gonna wonder what is possessing me Tomorrow night...hehehe ...Wink, Wink...<3
- I just finished reading the book. And am left with a sense of complete happiness. Sounds corny and so trite, I know, but for me there is nothing better than a love story involving two characters so hopelessly in love, and a little bit of Greek mythology sprinkled in there for good measure.
Cast took a legend, Hades' rape of Persephone, and truly made it her own. I expected at first, as anybody who knows the Greek myth, to worry how she would overcame this whole rape situation. However, I won't give away anything, suffice it to say, Hades has been really given a bum rap. )
Hades, is a brooding, stand-offish God, but not because he believes himself above the other gods, but because his dealing with the dead has taught him that the frivolous natures of the God no longer appeal to him. He yearns for the one thing mortals are best at...Love. And he finally finds it in the soul of Carolina Santoro. A woman who's made a deal with Demeter and has been temporarily transplanted into the body of Persephone.
Through persephone's eyes she's able to do what no other god or goddess ever has, she sees the Underworld as an adventure, exciting and interesting. Not disgusting or repulsive, her insatiable desire to learn more of her surroundings and the delectable 'Batman' God, has Hades believing that perhaps an enduring love really does exist.
If you want to be pleasantly surprised by an old story, and please don't expect anything to be Disney-ish, then pick up Goddess of the Spring.
P.C. Cast has risen to the top of my list of favorite authors. Also if you love mermaids, check out her Goddess of the Sea, another very noteworthy read. - The ending was a little weak but the book was immediately captivating. Full of love, longing, pain, self doubt, and the magical differences in an ordinary life and the types of lives that exist only in fairly tales of old. I loved this original love story and all of the magic it contains. Enjoy!!
- I thought this book was super great! I thought it was such an original idea for Hades and Persephone. Overall, definitely check it out because the characters are fun!

- This book is just simply one of my favorite PC books, coming in a close 1st place to Warrior Rising. One of the things that I love about PC is her ability to take a myth and turn it into her own. The story isn't your classic myth about Persephone and Hades. You have a hero who is so lost and alone. He is an outcast among his own kind (the Gods). He needs love and is terrified to risk his heart. Then you have the "fish out of water" Lina, who is a mortal in a goddess's body who sees past his shield of indifference to see the man. Their love story is romance at it's best. It is one of those HEA books. If you like that type of story ... this is a fantastic story that you will enjoy.
