I Can't Do That YET Growth Mindset Esther P Cordova Maima W Adiputri Books Reviews
- Read this book with my 4 and 6 year old girls and they loved it! It's hard to combat gender stereotype in our society so having this as an example of a woman having potential in fields like IT and pilot is wonderful. It's perfect for kids with with the insecurity of learning how to read as well! The final page is perfect for them to practice that new mindset of trying.
- My granddaughter and I enjoyed reading this beautifully illustrated book. She identified with Enna and loved the imaginative story. We talked about the power of saying, "I can't do it, yet." Highly recommended.
- Parents, have you ever asked your child to do something and they respond with the mantra, "I can't!"? Frustrating, right? Well, here's a way to introduce a new mantra to your child and help them live up to their potential. The concept behind this book is brilliant. It is a great way to introduce and teach children to have a growth mindset. I hope that "I Can't Do That, Yet!" is only the first book in a series to teach this valuable mindset to children.
- A good book about not quitting. I liked this and my grandchildren have asked it to be read again which is a good indication that its message hit home. We all need to know we can't do everything well the first time. Liked this book to be an encourager to those who might be timid about trying new endeavors. J.
- It did not appeal to my 5 year old. It was about a girl having a dream about her future self. Enna was in a room with adult her. I wanted a book to help with positive mindset and not to give up.
- I am in a battle with my granddaughter, she really likes our reading sessions ... when I do the reading. When I have her do the reading ... not so much.
She kinda liked the “...YET†idea and I’m going to use it as a tool. Maybe all is not lost, I’m going to re-read this and chat about it with her every few weeks to see if she’s reached “YET†yet. - Gave this to a second grade class, too abstract for kindergarten.
- I really enjoyed this story and the illustrations. It's a great book to give children dreams of what they could be. It also encourages the little steps that it takes to get there.
